PURPOSE:To reduce the distortion at reproduction more than conventional distortion, by shifting a tone arm in parallel and making the horizontal tracking error angle zero or almost zero. CONSTITUTION:At record playing, when a stylus 1 fitted to the tip of the tone arm 20 moves by a distance A, the tone arm 20 in interlocked with the stylus 1 is moved in parallel by the A. When this tone arm moves to the prescribed interval A, a shutter 8 projected to a tone arm support member 16 is moved in interlocking with the arm 20, a detection signal output of a sensor 9 is changed, power is applied to a motor 2 through a control circuit 9A, and an arm base 12 is moved toward the arrow X. When the arm base 12 is moved almost to the interval A, the detection signal output of the sensor is restored and the power to the motor 2 is stopped. The record disc playing is executed by repeating the operation. |
