Flanged bearings are described comprising a substantially semi-cylindrical half journal bearing (11) member having at least one thrust flange member (10), the thrust flange (10) being substantially of a semi-circular annular form having at least three inwardly directed lugs (16, 17) formed on the inner periphery, two lugs (16) being positioned at approximately the inner circumferential extremities of the flange member (10), the third lug (17) being positioned on the inner periphery intermediate the first two lugs (16) and said lugs (16, 17) being engageable with co-operating recesses (23, 24) on the half-bearing by opening the half-bearing in the elastic range and then releasing the half-bearing to retain the flange (10). |
