PURPOSE:To perform rotation control smoothly and reliably by detecting the rotary direction of a motor and releasing reverse torque brake operation. CONSTITUTION:A spindle motor control circuit comprises a motor driver IC1 incorporating a FG amplifier 2, Hall elements 6-8 for detecting the rotary phase angle of rotor and the like. Furthermore, a servo control IC11, a D-type latch circuit 12, Hall signal amplifiers 13, 14, inverters 15-17 having hysteresis, and AND gate 18 and low-pass filters R10, C10 are provided. A FG signal is fed through a capacitor C11 to the servo control IC11 and a logical product 18 of a signal fed from the latch circuit 12 and a motor turn OFF signal is provided to the rotary direction input port 2P of the IC1. Furthermore, a rotary direction signal is fed through diodes D1, D2 to an input port 3P. A rotation control circuit produces a rotary direction detecting signal based on outputs from the Hall elements 6-8, thus carrying out reverse torque brake operation quickly. |
