PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet-shaped electrode with no coating dispersion, a smooth surface and uniform thickness by using polyvinyl butyral as a binder and alcohol as a dispersant. CONSTITUTION:Teflon aqueous dispersion and polyvinyl butyral are added as a binder and alcohol is added as a dispersant to an active material mainly made of manganese dioxide to form the positive electrode black mix. Polyvinyl butyral is solved in alcohol into a rubber shape to exert a firm binder effect, on the other hand it is decomposed by heating. When the black mix is coated on a porous current collector, there is no coating unevenness of the black mix, the thickness of the black mix is made uniform. Teflon aqueous dispersion is used as the binder, the binding force of the black mix is never made insufficient after heating and drying. |
