PURPOSE:To suppress disturbance in the system upon occurrence of abnormal condition by adding a load increase command power or a load decrease command power to the input circuit of a secondary excitation control system upon occurrence of abnormality. CONSTITUTION:An automatic load regulator 6 controls the secondary excitation cycloconverter 4 for an AC-excited synchronous machine 1 corresponding to a steady command power P0 and the difference between a steady command power P0 and a generated power P. Rotation of a pump turbine 2 is controlled with the difference between a guide vane opening GVO operated from the difference between a rotation N and a regular rotation N0 corresponding to the steady command power P0 and a head H and a guide vane opening GVO0 corresponding to the steady command power P0 and the head H. An emergency operation judging circuit 18 judges the necessity of a load incremental/ decremental command from signals fed from an operating condition judging circuit 19, a source fall-out receiving circuit 20, a load missing receiving circuit 21 and a system abnormality judging circuit 22. A load incremental/decremental command circuit 17 outputs a load incremental/decremental command power from a command fed from the emergency operation judging circuit 18. |
