The grip of the bat is attached to the back via a joint which permits a pivoting movement of the bat or of its bad blade. Furthermore, an eyelet is attached to the back of the bat for inserting the index finger during play, whereby the player controls the direction of stroke. The arrangement relieves the burden on the wrist during play and results in more precise directional accuracy. The bat also enables older players and the physically handicapped to play without over-exerting the wrist. As a result of the more precise and sharp directional accuracy, the ball remains in play longer.
