PURPOSE:To reduce a muting time by outputting a muting control signal if at least either a data error detection signal or a non-lock detection signal of a phase locked loop circuit exists. CONSTITUTION:A demodulation means 1 applying demodulation processing of a modulated digital audio data generates a data processing clock of a digital audio data and a data error detection signal outputted at the detection of a data error. If at least either of output signals of non-lock detection circuits 8, 12 representing the detection of the non-lock state of phase locked loop circuits 2, 4 exists, a muting control signal is outputted. Thus, the muting time is reduced while the production of a data error or the production of a noise sound due to the incomplete demodulation processing or data processing due to a fault of the clock is prevented. |
