POLISHING OF DISK

摘要

PURPOSE:To enhance the polishing accuracy of a disk by adjusting the output torque of a tension motor based on the value of detected tape tension to fix the tension of a processed tape. CONSTITUTION:A tape tension detector 28 is provided at a position on the upper stream side of a pressing member 13 in the running path of a processed tape 12. The actual tension against the processed tape 12 is detected by the tension detector 28. Based on the detected signal the output torque of the tension motor 26 connected to a supply reel 11 is adjusted to always fix the tension of a processed tape 10 in the tape running with between the supply reel and a take-up reel 12. As a result the processed tape 10 can be pressed by the pressing member 13, which makes it possible to polish a magnetic disk 1 high accurately.
