PURPOSE:To prevent picture quality from being deteriorated by recording and reproducing data compressed in a form of table data different at every frame, discriminating the table data, and rendering and outputting color code data in an R, a G, and a B signals based on the table. CONSTITUTION:The format of data received from a CG system is regulated in such a way that, for example, the leading 768W of the frame are the table data and the reminder following that are the color code data of one frame. A recording processing circuit 2 makes received data into block at every constant length and attaches an address and an error correction code on each block. Next, a signal is recorded on a recording medium such as a tape or a disk, etc., at a recording and reproducing device 3. At the time of performing the reproduction of the signal, the signal is arranged so as to output the data with a prescribed time chart at a reproduction processing circuit 4. A decoder control circuit generates a control pulse to discriminate the table data from the color code data. Next, a decoder circuit 7 discriminates the table data by the control pulse, and reproduces original R, G, and B signals from the color code data by using the table data. |
