PURPOSE:To make it possible to form an abrasion groove with a considerable width, stabilize the passage of wire, reduce troubles during operation and improve the yield of product by forming a V-shaped wire grove and making the radius of curvature at its groove bottom greater than five times a wire radius. CONSTITUTION:A cutting head is formed with a cutting wire W wound around a plural number of roller over and over again. Many auxiliary rollers are set among the cutting head and a means of delivery and a means of winding of the cutting wire W. A wire groove formed on the circumferential face of each auxiliary roller for the guidance of the wire W is V-shaped with the radius of curvature R1 at its groove bottom made greater than five times the wire radius r. As a consequence, the wire W in its passage makes free lateral move ment to the left and right to form an abrasion groove 15 with a considerable width so that strong contact between the side face of the abrasion groove 15 and the wire W is eliminated to stabilize the passage of the wire W. |
