PURPOSE: To bring about an element volume of a substance at any desired position by providing an X-ray source or a gamma ray source and a detector. CONSTITUTION: When an integral structure 12 is located at a given position, a radiation source 1 and a detector 5 are turned about rotary axes 13, 14, respectively, and an element volume 11 is arranged at different positions 11.1 and 12.1 on a line dividing an angle formed by axes 4, 7 equally into two. When the structure 12 is moved perpendicularly to the axes 13, 14 while sustaining a constant inclination angle between the axes 4, 7, the volume 11 changes the position similarly along the line 16 and takes the positions 11.1 and 12.1. When the structure 12 is moved in parallel with the axes 13, 14 while sustaining a constant inclination angle between the axes 4, 5, the volume 11 moves along a line 17 extending in parallel with the axes 13, 14 and takes different positions 11.i, 11.j. The volume 11 can be located at a desired position by combining the movements. |
