In the arrangement of the engine oil cooler on the pressure side of the air-cooling fan, the cooling air needed for the engine oil cooler must be brought to the pressure level of the engine cooling air. This has an unnecessary cost in terms of power and noise. By arranging the engine oil cooler outside the pressurised air flow of the cooling fan and acting on this with a low pressure fan, the rate of air flow and hence the power and noise level of the air cooling fan is reduced.
