PURPOSE: To improve the movement of a lens put on an eye and to promote the contact of an eyelid with the lens by providing the flexible contact lens with a transition part recessed to the outside and capable of connecting a center visible part, a peripheral frange part and a center frange part. CONSTITUTION: A soft lens 20 includes a rugged center visible part 24, a front part 21, a rear part 22, a circular rugged transition part, and a peripheral frange part 27. The center visible part 24 of the lens 20 is extended from the center part to the outside in order to apply a required lens curving power to apply a required end lifting to the lens 20. The main clinical meaning of the end shape is increased lens movement applied by the shape. The lens movement is probably obtained by the combined result of two effects. The end lifting formed by the curved inside face of the frange part 27 reduces resistance to be applied to the lens crossing the cornea area of an eye. |
