In a motor vehicle, the method described allows the pulsed operating current of an inductive load to be measured without elaborate measures for common-mode suppression even when the device detecting the operating current and the said load are connected to one another by (only) one insulated control line and a spatially extended potential surface, for example vehicle earth. The devices proposed for carrying out the method utilise a microcomputer, not only for measuring but also for regulating the pulsed operating current. |
