PURPOSE:To avoid quick variation in engine torque and prevent aggrevation of the drivability by recovering an ignition timing step by step to advance ignition. CONSTITUTION:The controller 3 of an engine 1 receives the detection signals from a PM sensor S1, a knocking sensor S2, a water temperature sensor S3, and an NE sensor S4 via an interface 31, and CPU32 executes the specified arithmetic operation on the signals and sends the specified control signal to an ignition plug 2 via an output interface 33. When the load state is within the specified knocking control range, the delay quantity for ignition timing is varied according to the occurrence of knocking. In this case when the load state is turned out of the knocking control range, the ignition timing is recovered step by step to be advanced. The quick variation in engine torque may be avoided and the aggrevation of the drivability be prevented. |
