PURPOSE:To remove dew-condensed water without leaking from a ventilation fan even if the water is generated in the fan by forming a water absorptive member at least at a body frame or the part of the inside of a body frame. CONSTITUTION:A ventilation fan 1 for a duct is attached to a ceiling plate 3 for a bathroom or the like to suck steamed air staying in the bathroom through a suction port 4, the suction unit 15 of a casing 14 by the rotation of blades 13 and to feed it from a discharge port 5 toward a duct 6 through a connecting member 16. A vessel-like body frame 2 is attached to the opening of the ceiling 3, and formed of a water absorptive member of so-called high water absorptive resin or polymer absorber. With this construction, dew- condensation generated on the inner face of the frame 2 due to the temperature difference between outside and inside of the room is absorbed by the frame 2 itself to suppress dropping to a grill 18 or the bathroom. The water content absorbed to the frame 2 is temporarily evaporated by air blowing operation (of the discharge stream) of the blades 13 to disperse the water content. |
