PURPOSE:To continuously drill a tunnel with the desired cross section shape by rotating a center cutter around a shaft and revolving side cutters around the same shaft as the center cutter with the locus corresponding to the desired drilling shape. CONSTITUTION:A shield machine is constituted of a shield machine main body 1, a center cutter 2, a large rotary table 3, a pair of side cutters, and guide frames 5 guiding the rotary shaft 41 of the cutter 4. The cutter 2 is connected to a center cutter motor 22 via a screw conveyor 21, the cutters 4 are connected to a side cutter motor 34 respectively. The table 3 is driven by the motor 34 and rotated around a center cutter shaft X, a small rotary table 7 and the shaft 41 are revolved around the shaft X. The cutter 2 drills at the center of the working face, the cutters 4 drill in a nearly square shape along the frame 5 while being rotated. |
