PURPOSE:To prevent a storage battery from being short-circuited by composing at least the portion, which is exposed to outside, of one of gas-exhausting pipes provided at a pair of the storage batteries respectively of insulating material. CONSTITUTION:Among storage batteries 40 and 40, one is arranged so that its pipe 7 is directly inserted into a bottom cover 15 and its end portion is exposed to outside, while the other that an insulating pipe 72 made of insulating material is connected to the pipe 7 via a cylindrical joinner 71 with insulation and contraction and is exposed to outside. Even if the pipe 7 is conducted to an anode terminal 80, for instance in the case of washing, the storage batteies 40 and 40 are not short-circuited each other. Because, the anode terminal 80 is isolated from the batteries 40 and 40 in the case of not charging. Furthermore, the pipes 7 and 7 are not conducted to each other to short-circuit the storage battery 40, because the insulating pipe 72 is exposed to outside. |
