PURPOSE:To eliminate vibration from a rotation/reciprocation converting mechanism with a simple arrangement by arranging two crankshafts in parallel with each other in a crank casing so that pistons coupled respectively to the crankshafts are reciprocated on one and the same straight line, symmetrically with each other. CONSTITUTION:Two crankshafts 1, 2 are journalled and arranged laterally with a predetermined space therebetween, and are attached with flywheels 4, 5, respectively. Further, one 4 of the flywheels is associated and coupled with a drive motor 7 through the intermediary of a drive belt 7. Further, there is provided a crankshaft associating mechanism 8 for associatingly rotating the crankshaft 1, 2 in reverse directions at a revolution rate of 1:1. A pair of left and right cylinders 13, 14 are disposed in both end parts of the crankcasing 3, and the pistons 15, 16 are disposed respectively therein. Further, the pistons 15, 16 are coupled to crank ping 9a, 10a through a pair of connecting rods 17, 18 so as to symmetrically reciprocate on one and the same straight line. |
