The multi-processor system uses a supervision programme for coordinating the operation of the individual processors. The operating programme is loaded in an initial processor and is subsequently transferred from one processor to the next, together with the relevant data, to allow the different processors to perform different operations, with the processed data provided after each operation inserted in the programme before transfer to the next processor. The individual processors may be arranged to individual work stations within a mfg. plant, or to different working areas within an authorised office system.
