PURPOSE:To self-oscilate a transistor inverter to light up a discharge lamp by setting DC-blocking capacity in series with the input winding of a current transformer and installing an impedance device for by-pass in parallel with the current transformer and the capacity. CONSTITUTION:An input winding of a saturable current transformer 7 is set in the current paths of electric discharge lamps 3 and 4, an end of an output line is bond to the base of a transistor 12 and the other end, to an emitter through a capacity 15 to self-oscillate a transistor inverter 1. A DC-blocking capacity 8 is in series with the input winding, and a resistance 9 for by-pass is connected in parallel with the input winding and the capacity. The inverter 1 is worked by an output of a DC power source 2 to light up the electric discharge lamps 3 and 4. Although one comes to an end of the life, yet a current of DC component to the current transformer 7 is blocked by the capacity 8, a charging voltage of the capacity 8 is by-passed by the low resistance 9 and a current containing DC component does not flow to the input winding of the current transformer 7 so that the inverter 1 stably self-oscillates. |
