PURPOSE:To enhance dispersibility into resins, to enlarge the region of spectral sensitive wavelengths, and to improve sensitivity by incorporating a specified rhodanine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The rhodanine compound to be used is represented by formula I in which each of rings A1 and A2 has halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy groups substituted at the ortho positions to the azo group; n is 0 or 1; each of rings B is substituted by halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy; Z1 is one of benzene, naphthalene, and the like aromatic rings, and indole, carbazole, and the like hetero rings; X is represented by formula II; and each of Y and Z is alkylene or arylene, thus permitting dispersibility into a resin to be enhanced, spectral sensitivity in the wavelength region of 400-900nm to be obtained, and especially, sensitivity in the near infrared and infrared wavelength regions to be enhanced. |
