<p>PURPOSE:To make the seal portion of a holder dense and prevent the gas leakage from wet seal sections and cracks due to the heat cycle by integrally pressurizing and heating thin belt-shaped sheets mixed with ceramic fibers on side edge sections at the stage of a green sheet. CONSTITUTION:Thin belt-shaped sheets 2 mixed with ceramic fibers are overlapped on side edge sections of a main sheet 1 containing ceramic fine powder and hot-pressed, both sheets 1 and 2 are flatly integrated then gradually heated in the air, a plasticizer and a binder contained in the sheets 1 and 2 in advance during the heating process are decomposed and removed, a ceramic material is finally sintered, thus seal sections 7 are more densely formed as compared with other sections. The holding property of an electrolyte is improved, phenomena such as the gas leakage from the wet seal faces 7 and the seepage of the electrolyte 10 to the outside are prevented, ceramic fibers are mixed in the seal faces 7 of a holder, thus mechanical strength is improved, cracks due to the heat cycle are prevented.</p> |
