<p>PURPOSE:To finely judge the completion of recombustion by arranging an O2 concentration cell so as to contact each exhaust gas at the outlet part of a particulate trap and the bypass pipe of the trap. CONSTITUTION:An O2 concentration cell 2 is arranged so that the electrodes 22 and 23 contact the exhaust gas flowing in the outlet part of a trap 1 and the bypass pipe 8 of the trap 1. After the recombustion process of the trap 1 is started, said recombustion is completed when the O2 concentration difference detected in the O2 concentration cell 2 becomes less than a judgement value. Therefore, the completion of the recombustion can be judged finely.</p> |
