PURPOSE: To obtain a desirable rolling resistance, an antisideslip and a tractive property, by forming a tread from a composition containing ethylene/α-olefin/ nonconjugated-diene-terpolymer(EPDM), a highly unsaturated rubber and a predetermined vulcanizer. CONSTITUTION: A mixture obtained by mixing terpolymer(EPDM) A composed of ethylene,α-olefin represented by the formula: H2 C=CHE (where R is a 1-10C alkyl group) and nonconjugated polyene with highly unsaturated rubber B and a predetermined vulcanizing agent C is vulcanized so as to produce a tread composition. Then, a tire tread is formed from this composition. The predetermined vulcanizing agent C is produced by mixing one or more of members selected from a group consisting of sulfur and sulfur donor compounds with an organic peroxide vulcanizing agent and a sulfur vulcanization accelerator. Further,α-olefin is selected from a group consisting of propylene, 1-butene and 1-pentene.
