PURPOSE:To facilitate the insertion of an electrode group into a battery jar and facilitate the soldering work between a terminal and an electrode pole by eliminating the outer wall of a terminal lead section on the same face side as the opened face of the battery jar and providing a notch section for leading the electrode pole on the end face on the opened face side of a bulkhead. CONSTITUTION:One side face of a flat rectangular molded battery jar 1 made of synthetic resin is opened, an electrode plate group storage section 1a and a terminal lead section 1b are partitioned by a bulkhead 1c, and notches 1d are provided. An electrode plate group 2 is laminated with a positive electrode plate 2a, a negative electrode plate 2b and a separator 2c impregnated with an electrolyte, electrode poles 3 are extracted from the positive and negative electrode plates, the electrode plate group is installed in the electrode plate group storage section 1a through the opened face of the battery jar 1, the electrode poles 3 are inserted into the notch sections 1d of the bulkhead 1c. At the time of the soldering work, the side face of the terminal lead section 1b is opened, the soldering work of a terminal 5 is facilitated, the fitting of the electrode poles 3 to the battery jar 1 is facilitated. |
