PURPOSE:To obtain an electric wire with a terminal of fixed quality with no bend or mis-press connection at the end section of the electric wire by press- connecting a terminal while locating the electric wire between a pair of press connection pieces of the terminal. CONSTITUTION:At the time of intermittent movement, the desired terminal 48 can be continuously press-connected in sequence to both end sections of a preset standard-length electric wire W1 by a device selected among devices E1, E2.... Figures (b) and (c) show the state that a terminal 481 is press-connected by the device E1 to one end of a standard-length electric wire shown by the symbol W1'. The device E1 is lifted by a cylinder 44, the electric wire press- connecting section 48a of the terminal 48 is mounted on a press bed 47, a ram 46 is lowered to perform the press connection, the device E1 is lowered and returned on the contrary after the press connection. The terminal can be continuously press-connected with no bend or mis-press connection at the end section of the electric wire. |
