FEEDING OF OXYGEN IN OXYGEN BLEACHING PROCESS

PURPOSE:To improve the bleaching efficiency of pulp by providing an air- diffuser pipe at a high-pressure part of the outlet of a pump for feeding a pulp slurry to a reaction tower and injecting oxygen into the pulp slurry through the diffuser. CONSTITUTION:A cellulosic pulp slurry having a concentration of 7-15% is supplied from a stand pipe 2 through a control valve 12 to a reaction tower with an open impeller centrifugal pump 8. A diffuser pipe mixer 16 is placed between the outlet of the pump 8 and a control valve 13 and oxygen gas having a pressure of 7.0-9.0kg/cm<2>G is supplied through said diffuser pipe mixer 16 to the pulp slurry. The diffuser pipe mixer 16 is manufactured by combining a plurality of diffuser pipes 18.
