<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a compact GPS satellite receiver by providing means for controlling the phase of a PRN-code synthesizer and the frequency of a Doppler shift carrier sensor and calculating the position and speed information. CONSTITUTION: A receiver 10 comprises a phase control PRN-code signal synthesizer 52, a frequency controller Doppler-shift carrier signal synthesizer 54, exclusive OR gates 56, 62, 64, counters 58, 60, 68 and an adder 66. The synthesizer 52 controls the phase of code by selecting a PRN-code in response to a signal generated from a CPU 70 on a bus 72, controls the phase of code by selecting a fixed time PRN-code on a line 74 in response to a signal generated from the CPU 70 on the bus 72, and places a fixed time PRN-code signal on a line 74, a similar signal leading by 1/2 bit on a line 76, a similar signal delaying by 1/2 bit on a line 78, and a PRN-code timing signal on a line 80.</p> |
