PURPOSE:To push a metal body out of a line without interference by guide bodies by turning at least one of a pair of guide bodies guiding both sides of the metal body around a shaft extending in the guide length direction and lowering the top face of the guide than a position of the bottom face of the metal body. CONSTITUTION:In a case that a slab is rolled by a rough rolling mill and cambers and waved cobbles are generated, the slab is not pushed out of a line from on a roller table 3 by interference by a side guide because a cobble top reaches the side guide installed in the inlet side of an edge heater 5. A guide body 17 at a skid 9 side is installed to be freely fallen, so that guide bodies 17,17' are put in a max. open position and the body 17 at the skid 9 side and a bell mouth guide 20 are installed on a straight line in the line direction as shown by fictitious line. After that, cylinders 25,33 are extended to fall the guide body 17 and bell mouth guide 20 and to bring the top face of a guide head 18 and the guide 20 to flush with or to be lower than the carrying table face of the table 3. Then, a pusher 7 is actuated to push out the cobble on the table 3 onto the skid 9. |
