PURPOSE:To obtain a nontoxic and safe remedy for athlete's foot by dipping seeds of ripe fruit quinces in an alcoholic solution and allowing the seeds in the dipped state to pass through a prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:About 30 seeds of ripe quinces are dipped in about 1l alcoholic solution [e.g., 'SAKE' (Japanese rice wine) or 'SHOCHU' (Japanese distilled spirit)] and hermetically sealed and preserved in a place without exposure to sunrays at ordinary temperature. After allowing the solution to stand for >=24hr to confirm that the alcoholic solution is converted into a mucilaginous liquid, the seeds of the quince are taken out to further remove residues and afford the objective remedy for athlete's foot. The above-mentioned remedy is effective in treating and preventing the athlete's foot, further against skin roughening and has also excellent effects on treatment of chaps, cracks, etc. |
