MULTIFIBER/SINGLE-FIBER CONVERSION OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of components and operation man-hours and to reduce the size by king an external connection by an optical branch part provided on a multifiber optical tape which connects a multifiber optical connector and a single-fiber optical connector and a multifiber optical connector for branch light which is connected to a multifiber tape for branch light. CONSTITUTION:The external connection is made by the optical branch part 4 provided on the multifiber optical tape 5 on the optical fiber which connects the multifiber optical connector 1 for a main line and the single-fiber optical connector 2 for the main line and the multifiber optical connector 3 for branch light which is connected by the multifiber tape 7 for branch light. Thus, the optical branch part 4 is installed on the multifiber optical tape 5 and the multifiber optical tape 7 for branch light and multifiber optical connector 3 for branch light are used on a branch side to reduce the size; and the multifiber optical connector 3 for branch light is positioned at the center part of the array of the single-fiber optical connector 2 for the main line to improve the assembly operability and reliability.
