PURPOSE:To lighten maintenance work by striking and rubbing the tip end of a card inserted every time that it is decided to be cleaning time against a magnetic head by prescribed times apart from the time of usual charge adjusting, and removing foreign matter on the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:During a cleaning operation, the foreign matter 10 is removed by the tip end (k) of the card, and the operation of (c1) (c2) (c3) is repeated by several times like (c1) (c2) (c3) (c1) (c2) ...(c3) in a figure (c). Then, fur ther, the operation of (d1) (d2) (d3) contrary to above-mentioned operation is repeated by several times like (d1) (d2) (d3) (d1) (d2) ...(d3) in the figure (d). By performing such the cleaning operation periodically, i.e. in an early stage before the foreign matter comes bad, the surface of the head is kept always clean. Thus, such serious trouble as breaks data in the card can be prevented, and in addition, hand work for cleaning can be lightened. |
