A burner deck (1) of metal is suitable where a primary air level of e.g. 70 per cent is used. It is fixed with a circumference rim (2) to the burner housing. A number of apertures is made in the deck, e.g. a pattern of circular holes (3), alternated with slotted rows (4), which will compensate for any expansion of the deck.
