PURPOSE: To reduce noises caused by exhaust during idling, by laying at least a part of an exhaust housing in a drive shaft housing, and by providing an upper surface adapted to be combined with the lower surface of an engine block and an exhaust passage communicated with an exhaust port in this exhaust housing. CONSTITUTION: A propeller shaft is rotatably supported by a gear casing coupled to the lower end part of a drive shaft housing 50. A drive shaft 62 extending through the housing 50 has an upper end part adapted to be driven by an engine and a lower part coupled to the propeller shaft. Further, an exhaust housing 62 a part of which is laid in the housing 50 has an upper surface 78 combined with the lower surface of an engine block 28 and an exhaust passage 84 laid in the housing 64 and communicated with exhaust ports 38, 39 in the lower surface of the engine block 28. |
