A vibration damper device is described, for masonry or concrete works such as viaducts or railway bridges: it comprises a layer 1 of elastic or elastoplastic polymerised material 2 bonded to the upper face 3 of the deck 4 of the work and includes, embedded in the mass of polymerised material 2, planks or panels 5 made from a rigid elastically deformable material. With the aid of this device, sealing of the upper part of such works is furthermore provided. <IMAGE>
