The accelerometer 1, of the type comprising a body 2 intended to be fixed onto a piece whose accelerations or vibrations are to be detected, a piezoelectric element 7 prestressed between this body and a coupling mass 8 and means 25, 26, 27, 28 for flexible electrical connection between the two opposite faces 7a, 7b of the piezoelectric element 7 and the two pins 11, 12 of a connector 20 whose socket 12 is extended by a skirt 15 which covers the accelerometer body 2, is noteworthy in that the pins 11, 12 are arranged on the cap 16 of an insulating cylindrical sleeve 17 from where they project outwards parallel to the axis of the accelerometer, and in that the transverse bottom 14 of the socket 12 which separates the said socket from the skirt 15 which extends it is pierced by two orifices through which the two pins 11, 12 emerge into the said socket 12 of the connector 20 whose skirt 15 surrounds the cylindrical sleeve 17. <IMAGE>
