FLUID RESISTANCE TUBE FOR GAS FLOWMETER

PURPOSE: To enhance the differential pressure measuring performance by specifying the dimensions of the groove width of a split line between the outline of a diaphragm element and the cut-out outline of a diaphragm in a membrane. CONSTITUTION: 5 and 6 represent continuous round transitions in the transition area from an inlet or outlet area 4 to an enlarged area 7 which is divided in the center by a sandwiched membrane 2 from which a diaphragm element 3 is cut-out. The groove width of a split line between the outline of a diaphragm element 3 and the cut-out outline of diaphragm in the membrane 2 is set at 0.1-0.5mm and the thickness of membrane 2 is set at 50-125μm. Furthermore, measuring terminals 13, 14 are disposed in front and rear of the element 3 in the direction of gas flow. Coupling between a fluid resistance pipe 1 and an electronic differential pressure sensor takes the form of conical bodies 15, 16 and a hydrophobic filter 17 is inserted into the end part of fluid resistance pipe 1 directing inward. At the same time a bacteria barrier separates the measuring circuit of differential pressure sensor from a circulation system including the resistance pipe 1.
