<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an electrostatic plunge into a head and to smoothen the rotation of a disk by constituting a holder for a magnetic recording medium of electrically conductive plastics. CONSTITUTION:The holder 9 for receiving a cassette 2 is constituted of the electrically conductive plastics. When the magnetic disk 1 is rotated by a disk rotating motor 31, static electricity is generated by the friction with the recording and reproducing head 34 or a stabilizer plate 20, thus charging the disk 1. This static electricity is collected by a liner 6, etc., to be led to the cassette 2. Since the cassette 2 is generally constituted of electrically conductive plastics, the static electricity is conducted through the cassette 2 to the holder 9, and most of it runs away. In addition, a part of it runs away from an engaging part of a positioning pin provided on a chassis substrate 36 with a positioning hole of the cassette 2. Thus, since the electric charge is not collected to the disk 1 and the cassette 2, the electrostatic plunge into the head 34 is hence prevented.</p> |
