Cutting device for shears employed for shearing bundles of tubes in the nuclear industry, the said device being mounted on a planar component called "blade-carrier" 1, itself integrally attached to a trolley which ensures its movement, the said device being characterised in that it consists of a series of three to eight knives 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 attached to the said blade-carrier, the said knives having a general parallelepipedal shape, being arranged tangentially relative to one another, having staggered cutting edges 7, the gap a between the said cutting edges of each of the knives being very substantially equal to the thickness of the bundle 8 to be sheared, the width b of the said cutting edges decreasing progressively according to the offset of the knives, it being understood that the outermost knives 2,6 may have greater cutting edge widths and that the total width of the cutting edges of all the knives is at least equal to the width of the bundle to be sheared. <IMAGE>
