In a needle-roller bearing for a lower roller of a drafting mechanism in a spinning machine, an outer race (2), Fig. 2 (not shown), for a plurality of needle-rollers (6) is lodged in a bore formed in a U-shaped housing (1) which may be made of a synthetic-plastics material. Flexible sealing-members (9) having lips (11) may be provided on either side of the race, these members being made of a synthetic-plastics material. The needles are situated in a cage (5) and may be lubricated through a passage (7) containing a nipple (8). In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), a sealing member (9) is provided on one side of the race, a sealing lip (12) on the other side of the race being integral with the housing. In a further modification. Fig. 4 (not shown), sealing members (13) are press-fitted in said bore on either side of the race, each member being provided with a lip (14). In another modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), the housing comprises two identical halves (1, 1<SP>1</SP>) which abut each other in a plane lying transversely of the axis of said bore, a sealing lip (12) being formed integrally with each half of the housing. The race (2) may be drawn from sheet metal. |
