<p>Immunodepressed patients, e.g. those suffering from AIDS or Aleutian Disease, can be treated to prevent or diminish opportunistic diseases by subjecting the gastro-intestinal tract to a combination of several different lactic acid producing bacteria. A composition of such a combination with a carrier for oral or rectal administration preferably contains from 10?8 to 109¿ cfu per gram.</p> |
