MILLING CUTTER WITH FACE MILLING AND HOBBING

In a milling cutter for milling operations with a setting angle of preferably 90°, the face cutting edges (1a, 2a) and the hobbing cutting edges (1, 2) are set in opposite directions for chip removal. The hobbing cutting edges (1, 2) operating in each milling direction occupy half the width of the whole milling cutter, which can therefore be used as a reversing milling cutter.
