Gas laser arrangement with frequency stabilisation

In a gas laser arrangement which has a laser tube and an optical resonator, frequency stabilisation is generated by generating two frequency-coupled partial beams, by forming a differential frequency signal (S) from these partial beams and mixing it with a target frequency signal (So) and by cancelling the regulation signal ( DELTA phi ) thus obtained via a loop filter (8), whereby the optical length of the laser resonator is altered. This gas laser arrangement is suitable for highly stable gas lasers, in particular helium-neon lasers having high frequency stability. <IMAGE>
