PURPOSE:To stabilize the running speed of a wire in a constant-speed straight line and to improve machining precision, by a method wherein a multigroove roller is driven directly with the aid of a drive motor to rotate forward and reverse it, and a wire is reciprocated. CONSTITUTION:A multigroove roller 7 is directly rotated forward and reversed with the aid of a drive motor 36, and reciprocating running movement is applied on a wire A wound in multiplex parallel around the outer side of a multigroove roller group. Running block type boosting mechanisms 4 and 8 located on the feed side and the recovery side of the wire A are transmitted by means of an endless rope 17 performing synchronous movement with the wire and at the same locus as that of the wire. The transmission absorbs tension and a slack generated alternately on the feed side and on the recovery side of the wire A, and an endless rope 17 is caused to make a round in one-way with the aid of a motor for feeding and recovering the wire. The wire A synchronized with and following up the endless rope 17 is gradually moved from the feed side to the recovery side. This movement cuts a work pressed against the wire A run between the mutigroove rollers. Reciprocatively running of the wire A enables the running speed of the wire A to be stabilized in a constant-speed straight line. |
