<p>A thermal shield (1) comprises at least one support layer (2') of metal and at least one, preferably foam, insulating layer (3) of organic or inorganic components. The carrier layer (2') consists either of a preformed or deformable bare metal sheet or of a metal sheet lacquered on one (2') or both sides. The insulating layer is applied in the wet or paint- or spray-ready state on one or both sides or in sandwich form (3), and is then hardened by self-adhesion or by subsequent treatment.</p> |
