Mixture-forming device for an internal combustion engine

In known mixture-forming devices the fuel is metered by way of a nozzle, the cross-section of which is varied by a nozzle needle as a function of the throttle valve opening and/or the rate of air flow. They cannot be used, however, for control signals formed in an electronics unit. The new mixture-forming device is characterised in that the fuel outlet cross-section is designed to be axially displaceable by way of a solenoid control element, which is acted upon by signals formed in an electonics unit from engine parameters. Mixture-forming devices of the said type have applications in motor vehicle construction.
