PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of pressure fogging by applying cutters to the photosensitive material from the surface opposite to the surface having silver halide photographic emulsions, thereby cutting the material. CONSTITUTION:A factory-wound roll 1 is the photosensitive material wound to a roll form and is usually positioned with the silver halide emulsion surface on the inner side. The photosensitive material is sent through a photosensitive material route 2 or 2' to a slitter section 4 via a tension adjusting roller 3. The upper cutter blades 5 and the lower cutter blades 6 are respectively formed as rollers in the slitter section 4 and the factory-wound photosensitive material is passed between the same, by which the photosensitive material is slit to a prescribed width. The silver halide surface side of the photosensitive material faces the upper cutter blades 6 in the route 2 and the opposite side thereof faces the blades in the route 2'. The route 2' where the surface opposite to the emulsion surface faces the cutters is, therefore, adopted in this invention. The pressure fogging is prevented in such a manner. |
