Solar installation for space heating

The solar installation for space heating uses warm air as heat transfer medium, which is heated up in an air gap between an inner and an outer roof skin by means of solar radiation. The rafters in a sloping roof are interrupted in the region of the roof ridge, and at the lower end of the roof air inlet slots with insect guards are provided between the rafters. The warm air is sucked out of the space beneath the roof ridge through insulated piping by means of a fan which is switched on via a thermostat when the air temperature between the two roof skins in the region of the roof ridge has reached a value above the temperature of the space to be heated. In the case of very intense insolation and air temperatures above, for example, 60@C, the warm air is additionally conveyed via a heat exchanger to produce hot water in a correspondingly insulated and suitable water heater.
