A method is used to produce a superstructure, forming a solid travelway, for railways, consisting of a bituminously bonded supporting layer, such as is used in road construction, or of slabs laid on the formation, preferably of a jointlessly produced slab of concrete or special concrete with added plastic and/or bitumen, if necessary with an upper levelling layer of asphaltic fine concrete, to which the track grid consisting of tracks screwed to concrete sleepers is adhesively bonded by a bitumen- and/or plastic-based casting compound.
